Terms of Trade

General
These Terms of Trade govern the hire and sale of products and services by Video Tech (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). By hiring or purchasing our products, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

Hire Agreement
Hire Duration:
The hire period begins at the time of pickup or delivery and ends when the equipment is returned to us. The standard hire duration is for one day unless otherwise agreed.
Weekend Hire: For weekend events, you may pick up your equipment on Friday and return it on Monday, charged at the one-day hire rate.
Payment: Full payment is required upon booking to secure your order. We accept various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.

Delivery and Pickup

Delivery Charges: Standard delivery charges start from $100 for delivery only, not including setup. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and the size of the order.

Pickup Option (Preferred): We recommend picking up your equipment from our showroom at 686 Great King St, Dunedin. Pickup offers greater flexibility and convenience for our customers, and our friendly staff will assist with loading the items into your vehicle. Equipment must be returned by the agreed date.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled hire date for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Changes to Booking: Changes to bookings may be accommodated based on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to make any adjustments.

Equipment Care and Responsibility

Condition of Equipment:
All hired equipment is provided in good condition. It is your responsibility to inspect the equipment upon delivery or pickup.
Damage and Loss: You are responsible for any damage to or loss of the equipment while it is in your possession. Any damage or loss must be reported immediately. Repair or replacement costs will be charged accordingly.

Liability

Limitation of Liability:
Video Tech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. Your use of our equipment is at your own risk.

Deposits and Refunds

Deposit: A $50 deposit confirms your booking.
Please note that this deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation, but it will be deducted from the total hire cost.
Rain Deal: We offer a "Rain Deal" where, if the equipment is not removed from the bag, you will receive all but the deposit back. This ensures you have a flexible option for last-minute changes or cancellations.

Governing Law
These Terms of Trade shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
